ALWAYS, a 5.5-metre high, 28-metre long sculpture on the Barangaroo headland that spells out the word “ALWAYS” in huge letters. Created by Indigenous artist Jacob Nash, the installation is on display during Sydney Festival, and references the phrase “Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land”.
The artwork aims to provoke debate around Indigenous issues in Australia, in particular the debates around Indigenous land rights.
