The Event Engineering team took great pride in delivering a comprehensive suite of services for The Seeds of Light, including structural engineering, rigging, rope access, and both standard and custom hardware solutions. We expertly installed ceiling anchor points and managed the logistics of customs delivery, ensuring meticulous inventory checks and quality control of all materials. Collaborating closely with the investor, curator, building engineers, builders, project managers, and Studio Tomás Saraceno Studio (Berlin), we prepared for a seamless installation, designing a custom pulley system that empowers artists to make precise adjustments effortlessly.

About The Artist
Tomás Saraceno is an Argentina-born, Berlin-based artist whose projects dialogue with forms of life and life-forming, rethinking dominant threads of knowledge in the Capitalocene era and recognizing how diverse modes of being engage a multiplicity of vibrations on the Web of Life.

For more than two decades, Saraceno’s work with local communities, scientific researchers, and institutions around the world, aims to seek out a more equal balance of human, techno- and biodiversity, with the understanding that knowledge is produced from specific situations. He has held numerous residencies including MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (2012–), Atelier Calder (2010); published in Nature and PNAS; presented a TED talk; staged artistic interventions with COP20, COP21, and COP26; has lectured at Princeton, Columbia, Centre Pompidou, Herald Design Forum, Hirshhorn Museum, CCK, and Interspecies Internet among other locations.

THE CUSHION HOUSE

The Cushion House brought HOKA’s Bondi 9 to life with a bold architectural takeover of North Bondi Surf Club. Wrapped in a sculptural form inspired by the shoe’s signature sole, the temporary installation was part brand experience, part public art. Event Engineering supported MNR Constructions with engineering and certification to ensure the structure was safe, durable, and as impactful as the concept demanded.
