Event Engineering Featured in SBS’s ‘Sydney’s Super Tunnel

Public Art Installations: Continuum & Shelter of Hollows

Season2, Episode 4, 2025

Titled Countdown to Launch, the episode showcases the final push to completion beneath Sydney’s bustling streets. Among the technical achievements and infrastructure milestones, the series shines a light on the integration of public art within the metro environment — including our collaboration with acclaimed Australian artist Mikala Dwyer.

Our team engineered and installed two major sculptural works:

Continuum – a twisting, otherworldly form suspended above commuters at the Pitt Street Station platform, and

Shelter of Hollows – a cluster of reflective, organic structures that invite pause and contemplation within the public domain.

Both works demanded precision fabrication, complex structural solutions, and seamless installation within live construction zones — all handled by our expert team with care and creativity.

The episode also features interviews with Event Engineering Directors Jeremy Sparks and Reinaldo Tucki, who speak to the challenges and rewards of bringing Mikala Dwyer’s ambitious vision to life within one of the most technically demanding rail environments in the country.

This appearance celebrates not just our role in shaping major infrastructure, but our commitment to embedding art and meaning into public space. We’re honoured to have worked alongside artists, curators, and builders to help create a more beautiful and human city.
