Morgan Sheehy is a Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer and Director at Event Engineering, with a distinguished career spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. Morgan started his engineering journey as a document controller with Arups. Noticing the draftsman carrying out complex drawings on the computer, he was keen to become one and Arups began formally training him. Soon too he noticed another group in the design office working away on calculations, the engineers, and with that he found his calling.

His professional portfolio includes the structural design and certification of public artworks, temporary event structures and bespoke performance environments across major cultural institutions and international events. Morgan has a particular interest in materials behaviour, mechanical systems, and risk-based design methodologies, especially as applied to high-risk and non-standard engineering environments. Morgan spent 5 years in the Army Reserves working in the Royal Australian Engineers and loved every moment.

Professional registrations include: Professional Engineer NSW, Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) , Professional Engineer VIC, Morgan is known for his rigorous attention to safety, compliance, and constructibility.
